2.21. Military Facility Signs Types B1, B2 and B3.
2.21.1. Placement. Place the military facility signs, Types B1, B2 and B3, as close as possible to
the building entrance and perpendicular to the roadway to permit viewing by traffic moving in
both directions (Figure 2.37).
2.21.2. Visibility. If the building is set back from the roadway and is not visible or is only
partially visible from the roadway, place the sign next to the entrance driveway and on the side
of the driveway closest to the building (Figure 2.38).
2.21.3. Relationship to Parking. Place the sign no less than 2.4 m (8') from the entrance to the
parking area.
