2.18. Color Standards. The colors used on the signs in this program conform to the color standards
developed by the Federal Highway Administration. These are the only colors that are permitted in
the production of Air Force signs, with the exception of motivation signs. Semi-gloss paint must fall
within the glossimeter readings for eggshell in matte finishes (11 to 19 degree gloss on 60 degree
glossimeter). These color standards also apply to safety signs.
