CURVES FOR DETERMINING EFFECTIVE STRAIN REPETITIONS
F-1. GENERAL. This appendix contains plots (Figures F-1 through F-22) for converting aircraft
operations to effective repetitions of strain when given the type of aircraft, the effective thickness
of the pavement, and the offset from the center of the runway or taxiway.
F-2. COMPUTER PLOTS. A computer program was developed by the U.S. Army Engineer
Research and Development Center (ERDC) for producing the plots for effective strain repetitions.
Should the plots not be adequate, the computer program could be used to determine the
conversion factors for any design situation. Information for accessing the computer programs is
described in Chapter 1.
