The anchor bolts shall not be installed too close to the edge of a concrete beam or slab, or edge failure
could occur before developing the cone strength. The minimum distance from the center of an anchor
bolt to the edge of the concrete to prevent side cone failure, m (in inches) is determined as follows:10
