- Aggregate and/or binder has worn away with a large amount of loose and missing particles causing a
high FOD potential. The surface texture is severely rough and pitted (fig. A-50).
- For porous friction courses, surface texture is very rough and pitted. Erosion of aggregate pieces
exceeds 1/4 inch in depth, and definite FOD potential exists (fig. A-51).
