g. Design guidance. The methods and procedures described in WEF Manual of Practice No.
9 for designing sewer installations in unsatisfactory soil, rock, embankments, microtunneling, and
by tunneling, microtunneling, jacking, boring, etc., will be adopted. Sewer piping installed in
areas subject to earthquake damage will include seismic design as required by TM
5-809-10/AFM 88-3, chapter 13. Cold region facilities will be designed in accordance with TM
5-852-5.
